Muddy Creek

Here are a few pictures from a short backpacking trip about 3 weeks ago. Those who came were Jeff Taylor, Max, and Me. Clouds rolled in and hiking through the slot canyon, (if we found the trail), was not a good idea.
Weighing our packs
The plan was to hike the slot canyons Muddy Creek flows through. We followed what we thought was the trail, but turned out to be a crummy cattle trail. After a few hours of roaming back and forth across the river we decided to go back to the beginning and search for the actual trail.
The best part was crossing the river back and forth and Max always ending up further down the river when he crossed.
Hence the name...

Cool dry falls.
So we decided on Plan B. We spent an hour or 2 at Goblin Valley. That was Jeff's first time there and we did a great day hike through the bigger Goblins.
My homemade stove cookin' up breakfast.
Then we decided to spend the second night at Fishlake. At about 9000 ft the temperature was in the 30s. Beautiful place. It turned out to be a pretty fun weekend.
